These Terms & Conditions govern your access to and use of the Foundly platform, website, services, and community features.
By using Foundly, you agree to comply with these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.
1. About Foundly
Foundly is a community driven Lost & Found platform designed to help people reconnect with lost belongings through a safer, trusted, and moderated environment.
Foundly acts only as a platform that connects users. We do not own, buy, sell, verify, store, or physically handle any listed items.
2. Eligibility
By using Foundly, you confirm that:
- you are legally allowed to use the platform
- the information you provide is accurate
- your posts are genuine and truthful
- you will use the platform responsibly and respectfully
We reserve the right to refuse access to anyone violating these terms.
3. User Accounts
Users are responsible for:
- maintaining the security of their account
- protecting login credentials
- ensuring account information is accurate
- all activity performed under their account
Foundly may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or community policies.
4. Posting Rules
Users may submit lost or found item posts through the platform.
All posts must:
- be genuine and accurate
- contain truthful information
- respect community guidelines
- comply with UAE laws and regulations
Users must not:
- create fake or misleading posts
- impersonate another person
- knowingly post stolen or illegal items
- harass, threaten, or abuse others
- misuse rewards or ownership claims
- post offensive, harmful, or inappropriate content
- use the platform for unrelated selling, advertising, or spam
5. Post Review & Moderation
All submitted posts may be reviewed by Foundly moderators before publication.
We reserve the right to:
- approve or reject posts
- edit formatting or categorization
- remove posts without notice
- suspend or block users violating platform rules
While moderation is carefully handled, human errors may occasionally occur.
If inappropriate, scam related, fake, or suspicious content is mistakenly approved, users are encouraged to report it immediately through the platform reporting system.
6. Sensitive Items
Foundly offers optional privacy protection for sensitive item posts.
When enabled:
- item images may remain hidden publicly
- certain details may be protected
Users should avoid publicly sharing highly sensitive personal information. Users remain responsible for the information they choose to publish.
7. Rewards
Users may voluntarily offer rewards for lost items.
Foundly:
- does not manage reward payments
- does not act as a financial intermediary
- does not guarantee reward fulfillment
- is not responsible for disputes between users
Users should never send advance payments to unknown individuals.
8. Communication Between Users
Foundly provides an in platform inbox chat system for safer communication.
We strongly encourage users to communicate within the platform instead of moving conversations to third party applications.
Users are responsible for:
- protecting their personal information
- communicating respectfully
- avoiding suspicious interactions
Messages may be reviewed if abuse, scams, harassment, or safety concerns are reported.
9. Meetups & Safety
Users are fully responsible for arranging meetings related to item returns.
For safety, users should:
- meet only in public places
- avoid isolated locations
- verify ownership before returning items
- avoid unsafe situations
Foundly is not responsible for in person interactions, meetup outcomes, disputes between users, or damages occurring outside the platform.
10. Reporting Abuse
Users may report:
- scams
- fake posts
- harassment
- suspicious activity
Foundly reserves the right to investigate reports and take appropriate action.
11. Account Suspension & Ban
We reserve the right to:
- restrict access
- suspend accounts
- permanently ban users
This may occur in cases involving:
- scams or fraud
- repeated policy violations
- harassment or abuse
- fake ownership claims
- illegal activity
- misuse of the platform
Foundly may cooperate with UAE authorities if legally required.
12. Intellectual Property
All Foundly branding, logos, platform design, content structure, and platform materials belong to Foundly unless otherwise stated.
Users may not copy, reproduce, or misuse platform assets without permission.
Users remain responsible for the content they upload.
13. Limitation of Liability
Foundly is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
We do not guarantee:
- successful recovery of items
- ownership verification
- user honesty
- reward fulfillment
- uninterrupted platform availability
Foundly is not responsible for losses or damages, scams or fraud, user disputes, communication outside the platform, meetup incidents, or item condition.
Users interact with the platform at their own responsibility and risk.
14. Platform Changes
We may modify features, update policies, remove functionality, or suspend services temporarily or permanently without prior notice.
15. Privacy
Your use of Foundly is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
16. Changes To These Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions at any time.
Continued use of Foundly after updates means you accept the revised terms.
17. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed in accordance with the laws and regulations applicable in the United Arab Emirates.
